Jakarta - Hundreds of Indonesian university students marched on the presidential palace in Jakarta yesterday, demanding President B.J. Habibie's resignation unless he can bring down food prices by the end of the month.

More than 1,000 troops and riot police blocked the march, but no attempt was made to disperse the demonstrators.
