Stabbing in Cork becomes murder case

Gardaí are treating the death of a man in Cork yesterday as murder.

Gardaí are treating the death of a man in Cork yesterday as murder.

The body of Patrick Walsh (28) was found in his bed at his home in Fairhill Drive by a family member at around 5 a.m. yesterday.

A post-mortem carried out yesterday determined that Mr Walsh died after being stabbed.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have been in the Fairhill, John's Well, Bridevalley,
Parklands, or Onslow areas of Cork City between 12 midnight and 7 a.m yesterday to contact them.
