Shelbourne failed to take full advantage of their game in hand over Bohemians this evening as they were held to a 1-1 draw by struggling Longford.
The point leaves them four behind Bohs ahead of their crucial meeting on Sunday.
Longford led the way with a goal from Sean Francis after just 13 minutes but just before the break Shels restores parity when Jim Gannon headed home Jim Corcoran's corner.
Bohemians have the title in their hands now and a win on Sunday will secure it.
