Seven people have been arrested for public order offences following a disturbance at a funeral in  Galway.

Seven people have been arrested for public order offences following a disturbance at a funeral in  Galway.

A number of weapons, including hurleys and sticks, were seized by gardaí who were called to the scene at Ballybane.

Up to 40 gardaí were involved in the operation.

The seven suspects were taken to Mill Street Garda station for questioning.
