Gardaí who recovered the body of a young Co Galway woman missing of the coast of Galway for a week have also found the body of a man.
The body of Anne-Maire Gavin (29) from Barna, Co Galway was found on the shoreline east of Galway Bay yesterday.
She was last seen in Spiddal, Co Galway, on the night of December 20th.
The man's body was found off Mutton Island during sea patrols being carried out by the Aran Island and Galway lifeboats. He has been named as Mr Sean Kavanagh from Corrandulla, north Galway.
His body has been taken to University College Hospital Galway for a post mortem.
