In the High Court yesterday a London salesman challenged the procedures under which £69,000, taken from him at Cork Airport three years ago, is being held by State authorities on the basis it related to drug-trafficking activities.

Mr Justice Kearns reserved judgment in the judicial review application taken by Mr Mark McDonnell, North Circular Road, Neasden, against District Judge Uinsin MacGruairc, the Revenue Commissioners and the DPP. Mr McDonnell is seeking the return of the £69,000.
