US Defense Secretary, Mr Donald Rumsfeld tonight defended his decision to order the release of graphic pictures of the bodies of the two sons of Saddam Hussein, telling reporters that "I'm glad I made it."
He said the highly unusual step by the US military far outweighed any sensitivity over showing the bloodied corpses because it would help convince frightened Iraqis that Saddam's rule was over.
"I feel it was the right decision and I'm glad I made it," he told a Pentagon news conference.
