West Ham football club manager Glenn Roeder was taken to hospital tonight after collapsing with chest pains following his team's 1-0 win over Middlesbrough.

Club spokesman Peter Stewart confirmed: "Glenn suddenly collapsed after the game today with chest pains. The doctor was in attendance and he was taken to hospital.

"He has been having scans and tests and he is in a stable condition and we are all awaiting the results."
