THE Minister for Health has said that he is aware of public concern that a report on the circumstances surrounding the death of a Mayo teenager, Kelly Fitzgerald has not been published.
Mr Noonan said he would like to see the report published, but that the inquiry was set up by the Western Health Board and it was a matter for them.
The report, which has been completed by a group of child care experts, is currently under consideration by senior counsel, according to the Western Health Board chief executive officer, Mr Eamonn Hannan.
The report examines the health "services" role in the case, which arose when Kelly Fitzgerald (15) arrived in London in very poor health after travelling from her home in Tonroe, Carracastle, Co Mayo, and died a few days later on February 4th, 1993.
