An 80-year-old man, who is believed to be the oldest person to be charged with rape in Northern Ireland, was released on bail in the High Court in Belfast yesterday.

Mr Bernard Joseph Loughlin, of Lisnafin Park, Strabane, denies raping a 13-year-old girl and indecently assaulting another girl, aged 14.
