An armed man made a failed bid to rob a cash-in-transit van in Omagh, Co Tyrone last night.
As a driver and his assistant were making a delivery shortly after 8pm on High Street a man with a gun approached them.
The security staff were able to get into the building and lock the doors before the gunman reached them.
The armed man made off in the direction of the town’s courthouse, possibly towards a small silver coloured car.

He is described as six feet tall and was wearing track suit bottoms, a black hooded top, a black woolly hat and white trainers.
Police have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
