MANILA - An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 on the Richter scale rocked the central Philippines early day but there were no immediate reports of casualties or damage, government seismologists said. The tremor struck at 2:23 a.m. and originated from the sea 34 km north east of the coast of Samar island.
