Given that you may well be abstaining from meat for the Lenten period, the new bangers from the brothers O'Flynn are something to look forward to when you can call a halt to your fasting. Perfectly made, with a subtle spicyness, these are superb with some Puy lentils, and great for a big fry-up late on Sunday morning.

The other great new invention from the brothers is a pork and pineapple banger which our two-year-old demolishes with gusto, and they are welcome additions to a fine range which includes spicy lamb, beef, and venison.
