New York - A New York police officer was found guilty and three others acquitted yesterday in the torture case of a Haitian immigrant that inflamed racial tension in New York.

Charles Schwarz (33) faces life imprisonment for his part in the torture of Abner Louima (32) in a police station bathroom on August 9th, 1997. The court cleared three other officers.
