Trade Union Siptu has today lifted its pickets at the Royal Hospital, Donnybrook in Dublin pending talks at the Labour Relations Commission (LRC) on Monday.
Staff at the voluntary hospital, which is funded by the Department of Health and HSE were to begin strike action today.
The dispute arose following a decision by management at the hospital to outsource the jobs of a laundry operator and a porter to a private contractor.
“We have agreed to lift the pickets following an invitation to enter talks at the LRC on Monday. Siptu has agreed to enter the LRC discussions without pre-conditions,” said the union's health sector organiser Paul Bell in a statement.
