Gardaí in Naas, Co Kildare, are seeking witnesses to a road incident earlier today.
A female pedestrian (78) was seriously injured when she was struck by a car at the junction of Loch Buí and Fairgreen Street at about 7.00am.
The injured woman was taken to Naas General Hospital
The driver of the car, a blue 06 D series BMW, was not injured.
Gardaí are asking anyone who was in the area of Loch Buí and Fairgrees Street this morning or who has information to contact them at Naas Garda station on 045 884300.
