An outline of the pressures which led single Irish mothers to give up their children for adoption into the 1970s has been published on the Internet by The Irish Times Social Affairs Correspondent, Padraig O'Morain.
The Web site is aimed at adult adoptees who, growing up in a more liberal environment, find it difficult to understand why their birth mothers did not keep them.
