The new Fine Gael TD for North Tipperary has capped a week to remember by winning the Lotto on Saturday night, writes James Hayden.
Noel Coonan was part of a 14-member Templemore-based syndicate that won €350,000 in the Lotto plus one draw on Saturday evening, winning €25,000 each.
Mr Coonan said news of the win completed what was one of the "most memorable weeks of my life".
"To win a seat back for Fine Gael in North Tipperary saw my biggest ambitions realised and to have it capped by a Lotto win was unbelievable," he said.
