A 26 year old Limerick man on remand in custody on a murder charge was further charged with assault at Limerick District Court yesterday.

Mr Andrew Brennan, single and unemployed, of St Muachin's Street, St Mary's Park, is charged with the murder of a musician, Mr Sean Colbert (53), at Lenihan Avenue, Prospect, on August 9th.

He was further charged yesterday with causing grievous bodily harm to Mr Larry Dillon at Thomondgate on August 11th. He was remanded in custody until Wednesday next.
