Republic of Ireland star Clinton Morrison has completed his move to Birmingham City.

Republic of Ireland star Clinton Morrison has completed his move to Birmingham City.

Morrison underwent a medical at the Premiership club yesterday and was unveiled at a lunch-time press conference today.

Birmingham paid £4.25 million for the striker. Andrew Johnson has moved in the opposite direction to Crystal Palace in part exchange.

Morrison, who scored 71 goals in 178 games for Palace, has been City manager Steve Bruce's number one summer target.

"I'm really happy to be here and the fact Steve Bruce is here was a big influence on my choice. He is a great manager," said Morrison.

"He helped me a lot when he was at Palace and I want to repay him by scoring the goals for Birmingham.

"It is every kid's dream to play in the Premiership and I am going to enjoy it."
