Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin TD has paid tribute to Judge Con Murphy, who will be buried today after a funeral in his native Bandon, Co Cork.

“I want to extend my deepest sympathies to Con’s wife Miriam, his mother Teresa, his sister Margaret, brothers Phil and Dan, and his entire circle of family and friends following his untimely death. Con was a gifted member of the legal profession, a passionate supporter of the GAA and a man who will be remembered for his significant contributions to the law, his community and to Irish public service.” His contributions to family, law and community were significant and will not be forgotten, Mr Martin said.
