The Marine Emergency Services helicopter in Shannon and two lifeboats were called to a rescue off Spiddal, Co Galway, over the weekend when a fishing vessel got into trouble. Two men on board were rescued and the vessel was towed to shore. Last night, the rescue helicopter took a crewman to the University Hospital, Galway, after he had a stroke on board a trawler.
