The Northern Ireland Office said yesterday the Northern Secretary, Mr Peter Mandelson, would not apologise for describing the British army's household division as "chinless wonders" in an RTE Radio interview.
Mr Mandelson made the remark on the Marian Finucane Show on Friday when he recalled a childhood visit to No. 10 Downing Street to watch a ceremony marking Queen Elizabeth's birthday.
