Man stabbed in Co Offaly post office raid

A security guard making a cash delivery to a post office in Co Offaly was stabbed during a robbery this morning.

A security guard making a cash delivery to a post office in Co Offaly was stabbed during a robbery this morning.

Gardaí are searching for two armed raiders who made off with an undisclosed amount of money after the robbery in Banagher at around 7.20 a.m.

The injured man is being treated at Tullamore General Hospital.

One of the suspects is described as being 6 feet tall and was wearing a black leather jacket and white runners.
