Man released in Massereene case

A man arrested by police investigating the murders of two soldiers in Northern Ireland has been released unconditionally.

A man arrested by police investigating the murders of two soldiers in Northern Ireland has been released unconditionally.

The man (44) was arrested yesterday in the Toomebridge area of Co Antrim over the murders of the two soldiers and the attempted murders of five other people in a dissident republican gun attack at the Massereene Barracks in Co Antrim last March.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland said he was released last night.

Sappers Patrick Azimkar and Mark Quinsey died in the Massereene gun attack. Two men have been charged with the murders.
