A 26-year-old man is recovering in hospital in Northern Ireland today after being abducted and viciously beaten in a paramilitary-style attack.

He suffered two broken legs and a broken hand when he was beaten with nail-studded sticks.

Police said six hooded men attacked the man after dragging him from his home at Forest Park in Drumantee, County Armagh last night.

The injured man was dumped in the border village of Jonesborough an hour later.
