Sheffield - A man who murdered his lover and encased her severed head in a concrete block which he kept at their home was jailed for life yesterday.

At the end of the three-week trial of Kenneth Peatfield (50) it emerged that he was jailed 15 years ago for hiring a hitman to kill his wife and 10-year-old daughter. Peatfield was jailed at Sheffield Crown Court today for murdering his wealthy common-law wife Susan Craven so he could move in his teenage mistress.
