Gardaí in Kilkenny are appealing for information after a man was found on the side of a road in Kilkenny suffering from a serious head injury.
The man, who is in his 50s, was found on the Kilkenny to Castlecomer Road at the junction with the Ballyfoyle Road at about 4am.
The man was taken to St Lukes Hospital but hjas since been transferred to Dublin's Beaumont Hospital.
Gardaí in Kilkenny are asking anyone anyone who was travelling on the road from 3am to contact them on 056 7775000.
