Man dies, four injured in Co Cork car crash

An man has died and four others have been injured - two seriously - in an early morning crash in Co Cork.

An man has died and four others have been injured - two seriously - in an early morning crash in Co Cork.

The dead man (20) was the back seat passenger of a car which hit concrete bollards in Lisselane, Clonakilty, Co Cork at 4.20 a.m. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

The driver and another male passenger of the car were seriously injured. Two other female passengers were less seriously injured. All were taken to Cork University Hospital.

Meanwhile a six-month-old baby girl - a Chinese national - who was a passenger in a car involved in a head-on collision in Rooskey, Co Roscommon last Thursday has died in Beaumont Hospital in Dublin.
