A man has died after a road crash in Co Antrim

A man has died after a road crash in Co Antrim. Police named the victim as Mr Martin Peoples (32), from Foreglen Road, Claudy, Co Derry.

He was driving a car which struck a bus on Castle Road between Antrim town and Randalstown at 3.40 p.m. The driver of the bus, which was not in use at the time, was uninjured but was treated for shock.

A driver in his 80s died when he crashed his car into a parked cattle trailer in Co Cork yesterday.

The accident occurred on the Ballyhooley Road, Whitescross, shortly before 4.45 p.m. yesterday. The man, a local, died on the way to hospital.
