Man dies after attack by bull

A man was killed yesterday after he was attacked by a bull in a field near Caledon, Co Tyrone. He was Mr James Michael McCarville (57), from Derrycourtney in the village. An RUC officer investigating the incident praised the efforts of a local man who made a brave but vain attempt to save Mr McCarville's life. The neighbour took a tractor into the field and drove the animal back before retrieving Mr McCarville's body.
