Man charged with murder remanded

A man charged with the murder of Siobhan Hynes (16) was remanded on continuing bail yesterday to appear in Galway District Court in two months. Mr John McDonagh (25), of The Demesne, Carraroe, Co Galway, is charged with murder and another serious offence at Carraroe beach on December 6th last. He appeared in Dublin District Court yesterday following his initial appearance in Athboy Court, Co Meath. Since his arrest he has taken up £15,000 independent High Court bail with a condition that he keep out of Cos Galway, Mayo, Clare and Westmeath.
