A man was charged tonight with causing the deaths of two people in a car crash in which eight others were injured in Belfast last year.
He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court tomorrow facing two charges of causing death by dangerous driving, said a Police Service spokesman.
The charges relate to a crash on the Falls Road at 2am on December 18th last year in which a 15-year-old girl and a 22-year-old man died. A white Vauxhall Cavalier with five people on board collided with a Mercedes taxi carrying six people.
The accident took place outside St Louise's Comprehensive School and as well as the two deaths, another two people were critically injured, three seriously injured and three less seriously hurt.
The man who has been charged is understood to be the driver of a Vauxhall in which the two who died were passengers.
