Man arrested over west Belfast arms seizure

A 29-year-old man is being held for questioning this morning in connection with a  weapons seizure in west Belfast.

A 29-year-old man is being held for questioning this morning in connection with a  weapons seizure in west Belfast.

The man was arrested in the Antrim area in connection with a search of a house at Oakman Street off the Falls Road last month.

At the time police said a number of items had been taken from the house for forensic examination.

The man is being held at the PSNI's Serious Crimes Suite in Antrim.

A 29-year-old woman arrested following the search was released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.
