A Co Louth man has been remanded in custody for sentence on July 7th at the Central Criminal Court after he pleaded guilty to raping a woman in 1998. The 35-year-old man had originally pleaded not guilty to a series of charges and was due to go on trial when he pleaded guilty to raping the woman in Drogheda.

Evidence in the case will be heard at the sentence hearing. Mr Justice Carney directed the preparation of a victim impact report.
