Man (91) missing for five days found alive

A 91-year-old man missing for almost a week has been found alive in a corn field in Co Tipperary.

A 91-year-old man missing for almost a week has been found alive in a corn field in Co Tipperary.

Mr Joe Walsh from Lisronagh, Clonmel, was found in the field at Fortwilliam, Clonmel at 9.30 p.m. last night. He was taken by ambulance to St Joseph's Hospital in the town where he is said to be "doing very well".

Mr Walsh went missing from his home last Friday, June 20th.

Media appeals and extensive searches by gardaí, Mountain Rescue units and the Civil Defence failed to find Mr Walsh until last night.
