A man (25) has died following a single-vehicle car crash in Co Offaly yesterday evening.
The incident occurred on the main Limerick to Athlone road at Ballyeighter, Banagher, at about 11.45pm.
A man was taken to Tullamore hospital following the crash where he was pronounced dead. He was the sole occupant of the car
The road is currently closed pending completion of an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Diversions are in place.
The road is expected to open later today.
