Man (24) remanded over Meath death

A 24-year-old man has been charged in connection to the killing of Sumbo Owoiya (17) in Co Meath on Friday.

A 24-year-old man has been charged in connection to the killing of Sumbo Owoiya (17) in Co Meath on Friday.

Joseph Sullivan was remanded in custody at the Dublin District Court this morning and is due to to appear again before Cloverhill District Court August 10th.

Sumbo Owoiya of The Court, Dunboyne Castle, Dunboyne, Co Meath, died shortly after being shot in the early hours of Friday morning. His attackers fired a shot through the door of one of the apartments.

He was taken to James Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown where he later died.
