Man (22) dies in crash with lorry in Co Sligo

A 22-year-old man died when his car was in collision with a lorry in Co Sligo this morning.

A 22-year-old man died when his car was in collision with a lorry in Co Sligo this morning.

The man was pronounced dead in Sligo General Hospital after the crash in Clevery, Castlebaldwin at 8.15am.

A male passenger in the car received minor injuries and was treated in Sligo General Hospital. The driver of the lorry was not hurt.

Gardai have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact Riverstown Garda station on 071-9165122 or Ballymote Garda station on 071-9189500.
