A 21-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of Cobh teenager Sheola Keaney.
Tom Kennedy of 84 Russell Heights, Cobh was arrested this morning.
A special sitting of Midleton District Court tonight heard Mr Kennedy was charged at 8.00pm tonight with the murder Ms Keaney last weekend.
Her body was found last Sunday under scrap metal and iron sheeting in a ditch off a lane near Newtown in Cobh. She had been strangled.
Mr Kennedy was remanded in custody to Cork Prison.
He is due to appear at Mallow District Court on Tuesday next.
