Limerick cracks down on litter bugs

Limerick Corporation is cracking down on litter bugs. The amount of on-the-spot litter fines issued up to the end of September is more than double that in the same period last year. From January 1st to September 30th, 207 on-the-spot fines were handed out, with only 88 in nine months of 2000.
