Mr Liam Lawlor has provided large quantities of documents to the Flood tribunal although he is claiming privilege over a number of others, the High Court heard today.

Dublin West TD Mr Liam Lawlor.

Counsel for the tribunal Mr Frank Clark SC told the court an initial consideration of the documents submitted indicated Mr Lawlor had complied with the High Court order.

Mr Lawlor has listed the documents over which privilege has been claimed and these will now have to be examined, counsel said. He added this investigation by the tribunal will have to decide if privilege was being properly claimed.

But he said the tribunal may need to seek further evidence from Mr Lawlor to clarify matters.
