London - Labour's lead in the opinion polls has fallen to just seven points over the Tories, the lowest since the general election. A poll in today's Guardian puts Labour on 41 per cent, down four on last month, the Tories up two on 34 per cent and the Liberal Democrats up three on 18 per cent. The poll shows Mr Blair's own approval rating falling sharply from plus 34 points a year ago to just plus one.
