Kilkenny¿s victorious All-Ireland winning hurling teams have arrived back in the Marble City to a rousing reception from thousand of fans.
Both the senior and minor hurlers secured All-Ireland titles at Croke Park yesterday, against Clare and Tipperary respectively, and having spent the morning showing off their silverware in Dublin, the squads returned home at 6.30 p.m. this evening.
The celebrations kicked-off at MacDonagh train station where the players were welcomed home and up to 30,000 fans are expected to line the streets of Kilkenny this evening as the teams make their way through the city on an open top bus to Market Yard.
Meanwhile, senior manager Brian Cody has yet to confirm whether he will take up the reins for another tilt at the title next season.
"I haven't even begun to consider what my options are," he said. "The most important thing is that the players are in place to come back next year as strong.
"I have no idea what I'll be doing. Now is a time for celebration."
