Pristina - US peace-keepers said yesterday they had seized hundreds of mortar bombs as well as other ammunition and weapons after searching houses and a vehicle in south-eastern Kosovo.

Peacekeepers found 372 mortar rounds, 40 shotgun shells and 42 detonation fuses in a van stopped yesterday morning in the town of Surlane. Two men in the van were detained, Kfor said.
