PARIS - Suspected Muslim guerrilas shot dead an Algerian journalist and wounded another outside the offices of a newspaper in central Algiers. At least three gunmen fired six bullets at the French language L'Independant's editor Mr Noureddine Guittoune and researcher Mr Khaled Aboulkacem on Saturday night they walked home from the offices in Algiers. Mr Aboulkacem (30) died in hospital from head wounds.
