The ISPCC yesterday renewed its appeals to supporters, volunteers and staff for their support and said all its services would continue. A subgroup of its national executive committee confirmed moves signalled over the weekend to help it cope following the arrest of a senior official.
These included the appointment of Mr Paul Gilligan, the society's psychologist and director of services, to "an expanded management role". Management consultants Deloitte and Touche have been appointed to review the ISPCC's management and administrative systems.
