Irish comedian in line for award

Irish comedian Andrew Maxwell has been nominated for the coveted Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Award.

Irish comedian Andrew Maxwell has been nominated for the coveted Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Award.

Maxwell, who was also shortlisted for the award in 2007, is going up against Sam Simmons, Josie Long, Chris Ramsey, Adam Riches and Nick Helm for the main award for best comedy show. The winner will be announced on Saturday.

Maxwell’s show featured more than 15 minutes of material on the London riots.
