Second teenager dies after car crash near Ennis

Vehicle struck wall in Woodstock area near town in early hours of Sunday morning

A second person has died following a car crash near Ennis in Co Clare on Sunday.

Gardaí said the 19-year-old man, who was driving the car which struck a wall shortly after 4am, died at University Hospital Limerick on Tuesday.

An 18-year-old man who died in the crash had earlier been named as Oisín Cahill. He was a passenger in a car which crashed on the Shanaway Road at Woodstock.

A third man (22) remains in a critical condition in hospital, gardaí said.

It is understood the Toyota car was travelling towards Ennis when it collided with a wall near the entrance to Woodstock View housing estate.
