Gardaí are at the scene of a fatal crash involving a car that happened at about 4.15pm on Monday afternoon on Main Street, Borrisoleigh, in Co Tipperary.
The driver and the only occupant of the car, a man aged in his 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road is currently closed to allow for a technical examination by forensic investigators while local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to come forward, including anyone who was travelling in the area at the time who may have dashcam footage.
